'Untouchable' Anthony B to perform at Paard and Melkweg

Reggae icon Anthony B is once more coming to the Netherlands. As part of his ;Untouchable Tour' the Jamaican born artist will perform at the Paard van Troje in the Hague on the evening of Monday December 4 and at the Amsterdam venue the Melkweg on Wednesday December 6. At these shows the singer will not only perform his most famous hits. The artist is also going to focus on his most recent release 'Gather and Come' which is Anthony B's twentieth outing since his debut 1996 album 'Real Revolutionary'.

Those who saw Anthony B perform at Reggae Sundance or at Paradiso last summer or at previous concerts, know that the conscious singer is always good for an electrifying reggae-show. Dynamic and with full devotion he unleashes his razor-sharp songs on his audience. He always spreads his energetic vibes and leaves his impressive mark on his listeners.

Anthony B not only frequents concert stages, he can also often be found in various studios. He is one of the most productive artists of his time. Every year Anthony B releases roughly two albums. Add his 2003 and 2004 releases and you will reach a staggering eight in total.

Respect
Anthony B, born Keith Anthony Blair, shot to fame with hits such as 'Fire Pon Rome', 'Raid Di Barn', 'Storm Winds' and 'Nah Vote Again', tracks he recorded for producer Richard 'Bello' Bell. Not only the incredible energy this bobo dread spreads but also his gripping lyrics demand and get respect, even of non religious listeners. He is greatly inspired by Peter Tosh, Bob Marley and Bunny Wailer. Anthony B has been touring Europe since November. Earlier this year he performed extensively in the United States. Not surprisingly the singer is one of Jamaica's most important exports.

Before and after Anthony B's show the best of reggae tunes will be delivered by Black Star Sound with selector Den-Den and with singer/sing-jay sister K-Wida (at the Paard) and Brother Marcus (at the Melkweg).

Black Star Foundation
The Dutch Anthony B shows were initiated by Black Star Foundation. The goal of this Amsterdam based foundation is to promote African and Jamaican reggae in general and particularly unknown African talents by organising concerts, shows and parties. Black Star Foundation has recently also brought international reggae stars like Ijahman Levi, the Mighty Diamonds and Max Romeo to Dutch clubs.
