Michelle Boekhout van Solinge

Michelle, graduated in Physical Geography (University of Amsterdam, 1997), already organised parties and events during her college years. She travelled a lot in Asia, Africa and the Caribbean and in 2002 she lived and worked in Ghana (West Africa). Back in Holland she started up Black Star Foundation. Michelle is mostly working on management and bookings for artists/bands, promotion, organisation of events and development of new talent. She also gives musical lectures and is MC for Black Star Sound!

Dennis van Tetering

selector - advisor

Dennis (a.k.a. Den-Den) is the selector for Black Star Foundation (Black Star Sound) and together with Michelle, they work on the different projects of Black Star Foundation, like Black Star label. In daily life Dennis is also working in music business. He worked for Free Record Shop, Fame Music, Zomba/Jive, BMG, Sony/BMG and now many years for Universal Music.

Asher-E

musician - producer

Eelco Kastermans (a.k.a. Asher-E) is an allround reggae musician, sound engineer and producer. He played keyboard in the Dutch reggae bands Higher Ground, The Irie Connection, Out of Many and dProcessor. In his daily life, Asher-E works at a biological farm, growing all kinds of vegetables and seeds. For Black Star Foundation Asher-E produces and mixed many dubplates and tunes and he works on new songs and riddims with our artists.
